Inspired by the BBC series 'The Secret Genius of Modern Life', I created these 2 educational models displaying the inner workings of 2 household appliances - the microwave and the fridge.

These models are small in scale, with every detail hand cut from paper or acetate. I studied the inner workings of both appliances via the series before creating the models, created to be intended as installation pieces.
